    i have a dolphin, tsunami optical 1000 mouse,and whenever i boot up xp (post sp2), with this mouse in, the cursor freezes and so does the touch pad. it is two button with wheel that you can press, can i just use the link in post 14?

    i gave the suggested link a try, followed the instuctions and it didnt work.
    I can use the opticalmouse but i have to boot with my normal mouse and then swap, and it works fine. But If boot with optical mousethe cursor freezes . dont know if this helps you any Ihave tryed if find dolphin home page but all i get a unhelpful wildife pages or online stores! why is it so hard to find manufacturers, is dolphin an affiliate company of some other firm? is there a buisness search engine i could try?

    They do not have drivers for there mice because they are designed to use Window''s built-in drivers.

    Try removing all mice from the device manager after booting from Safe Mode. Then turn off the computer and boot with the new mouse.

    sonds like a plan geek, but how do i boot in safe mode, do i press f8 when it booting up, or f12 im not sure.
