I'm guessing that I need the Mother-Board Driver for my Compaq 5700n, it says that my PCI System Bus Manager is in the 'Other' menu in the device manager in My Computer(Win98 Machine).

I got the link below for the sound-card driver that's built into the mother-board, the one I need to download, is it the one labled ROMPaq on the site below?

    http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareList?dlc=en&lc=en&product=93566&lang=en&cc=us&os=20

    Thanks

This is a flash update. Not what you need. You need chipset drivers.
Open the case and post what is printed on the largest black chips on the board.

There''s a number printed in one corner of the board and it reads:

    PWA : PWA-SHELBY Ul-B1 MOTHER BD
P/N : 316698200002 Then a blank box then R and another blank box

I''m guessing those are the correct #''s
